Soccer Snacks That Are Healthy and Taste Good Too!

The main fare for soccer moms to bring to a game or practices is usually orange slices and juice boxes. If you want to a little more creative, there are some recipes out there that can make you a hit with the kids and at the same time keep the moms happy by providing excellent snacks.

One idea is a crème cheese pin wheel. To make a crème cheese pin wheel, you need to start with a pound or container of Philadelphia crème cheese. Pick out a cheese that has a sweet or fruity flavor like strawberry or banana. Remember these are kids and smoke salmon or green onion will make you the soccer mom that is shunned when it comes to snack time.

If you want to go healthy, mix some fresh fruit into the crème cheese. The larger the chunks the better when you mix it in. Take the crème cheese and fruit mixture and place two heaping tablespoons on a flour tortilla. Spread the crème cheese evenly and then roll op the tortilla into a tight cylinder. Cut the tortilla horizontally all the way through in about a half inch to an inch slices. The crème cheese in the rolled tortilla will look like a pin wheel. Take plenty of napkins or wet naps because the snack is messy as well as healthy. The crème cheese pinwheel will look fun and at the same time give the kids a healthy, filling snack after the game or practice.
